Learn More About My Journey
I know what it’s like to feel stuck in the same painful patterns, wondering if love is supposed to be this hard. The truth? A strong, connected, and joy-filled relationship isn’t just a dream—it’s 100% possible. And I’m here to help you build it.
By that age, I had already witnessed my parents’ divorce, watched my mom struggle with her new relationship, and seen none of my friends' parents stay together; if they were, it was only by a thin thread. My own high school relationships never even had a chance to blossom before they fizzled out. From my parents and extended family to families in my community and the young love of my closest friends, I witnessed relationship struggles everywhere. Couples who were desperate to stay connected and build lasting partnerships found themselves stuck in the same painful cycles of hurt, miscommunication, and fear. I couldn’t help but wonder; why did love seem so complicated, and what made it so hard for people to make it last?
Today, I’ve helped countless couples rebuild trust, communicate with ease, and create partnerships that feel safe, secure, and unshakable.
I want every couple to feel confident in their love, confident in their choice of partner, and certain that they can create the relationship their soul craves.
Because love isn’t luck.
Love isn’t an anomaly.
Love is something you can build—with the right mindset, the right tools, and the right support.
And I’m here to help you do just that.
I didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming a therapist; it wasn’t a path I had planned. I stumbled into it, much like many of the most meaningful journeys. While in college, I began applying what I was learning about relationships to my own, with the man who would later become my husband of 30 years. But it wasn’t until a snow day after college, while I was working in Georgetown with my degree in International Business and feeling stuck, that everything shifted. I was watching The Montel Williams Show when a marriage therapist appeared on screen, discussing couples in crisis. In that moment, something inside me clicked with undeniable clarity—I knew this was what I was meant to do.
What I didn’t realize at the time was that I had already been preparing myself for this very moment. I had been helping my friends with their relationship struggles and continued to study love and communication, all the while thinking I was simply improving my own romantic relationship. But in reality, I had unknowingly been laying the foundation for the work I do today. That light bulb moment was the spark that set me on the path to becoming the therapist and relationship coach I am now, helping others create the kind of connection I had always dreamed of.
Over the last 25 years working with couples, I noticed a painful pattern, fear ruled their relationships.
Fear of being misunderstood.
Fear of repeating the past.
Fear of not being loved the way they needed.
These fears kept them stuck in cycles of disconnection, conflict, and resentment. They wanted to feel safe, wanted, chosen—but they didn’t know how to bridge the gap.
That’s when I developed my Love Smarter Methodology—a step-by-step framework that helps couples move from fear to confidence, conflict to clarity, and uncertainty to deep, lasting connection.
Strong couples don't avoid hard moments, they move through challenges grounded in love, faith and intelligence.
Trusting yourself and your inner compass is always the starting point of relational growth.
Communicating with Love requires skills in empathy, listening, and emotional regulation.
Grounding yourself in your worth and being sure of your value and place in each other's lives.
Loving Intentionally with conscious choices and everyday consistency.
Every strong relationship is built over time, and my journey to this work is no different. From learning about love as a teenager to guiding couples through their most vulnerable moments, helping people create lasting relationships has been my life’s work.
At 17, I became fascinated by relationships after secretly reading my mom’s books and tapes. That early curiosity turned into a lifelong passion for understanding love and communication.
After marrying my soulmate, I felt deeply called to help others build the kind of connection I valued. I pursued my Master’s in Counseling Psychology at UNLV and committed to this work.
As a child of divorce, I knew the deep impact of high-conflict family dynamics. I founded a nonprofit to support co-parents in building peaceful relationships—for the sake of their children.
I created a signature coaching model combining relational intelligence, mindset work, and action-based tools to help couples create lasting transformation.
Through coaching and online programs, I help couples worldwide build unshakable love—rooted in trust, depth, and conscious choice.
I launched my own therapy practice, guiding couples to break toxic cycles and rebuild trust, intimacy, and emotional safety.
I developed a proven framework to help couples move past fear, deepen connection, and grow a love that lasts.
Family is my foundation. My husband and I have been together for 35 years, raising our incredible children and learning new things about each other every day.
